Its former dialling code was 01265-75, previously 026 575, later 026 57.

Ballycastle ATE

Ballycastle telephone exchange is at 39 Quay Road, Ballycastle BT54 6BJ.
The first ATE here was a UAX6 opened on Wednesday 4 December 1935. The current exchange was converted to digital working on 23 June 1995.
Its telephone codes include 028-2076.
Its former dialling code was 01265-76, previously 026 572.

Bushmills ATE

Bushmills telephone exchange is in Main Street, Bushmills BT57 8QD
The first ATE here was a UAX12 opened in 1936 to replace a manual exchange. The current building came into use in 1976 and went digital in February 1994.
Its telephone codes include 028-2073.
Its former dialling code was 01265-73, previously 026 573.

Dervock ATE

Dervock telephone exchange is in Castlecat Road, Dervock, Ballymoney BT53 8BP
The first exchange here was an RAX5 opened in November 1930 (location unknown). The current exchange opened in 1981 when lines became Dervock 41*** numbers.
Its telephone codes include 028-2074.
Its former dialling code was 01265-74, previously 026 574.

Rathlin (Island) ATE

Rathlin telephone exchange is on Rathlin Island, Ballycastle BT54 6RT.
A UAX13 with a radio link to Ballycastle exchange was installed in 1976 – see a TV report HERE.
This was replaced by a 19Ghz system giving Rathlin subscribers direct lines on Ballycastle exchange on 28 August 1986. You can read more about this on page 70 HEREÂ

Rathlin (Island) former ATE

The former Rathlin telephone exchange is on Rathlin Island, Ballycastle BT54 6RT.
The first exchange here was a manual board opened in 1953. It was the last manual exchange in Northern Ireland and had 15 subscribers when it was replaced by this mobile UAX on 16 September 1970. It operated until 1976 when it was replaced by a UAX13 in a permanent building.
Its dialling code was 026 57.
