The base of the former Southend Telephone Exchange is all that remains. The two drains and row of bricks mark the rear wall where the door would have been, with the window being at the road side.

It is situated adjacent to the current exchange in Southend, Campbeltown PA28 6RW and served Dunaverty, Keil, Southend and the surrounding area.

In 1947 it was equipped with a UAX5 with 32 lines.
