Burnham Market ATE
Burnham Market telephone exchange is located off North Street, Burnham Market, King’s Lynn and also covers Burnham Norton, Burnham Thorpe, Burnham Overy Town and Burnham Overy Staithe. It came into service about 1982 when lines became Fakenham numbers. Its predecessor was a UAX 12 (demolished) which came into service in 1938 to replace a manual exchange opened in 1923.

Fakenham ATE
Fakenham telephone exchange is located in Queens Road, Fakenham NR21 8BN
and also covers Hempton, Colkirk, Pudding Norton, Sculthorpe, Dunton, East Raynham and Pensthorpe. It came into service about 1983.
The telephone codes for this exchange are principally 01328-85 and 01328-86.
Its former dialling code was 0328.

Fakenham former ATE
The former Fakenham telephone exchange is located in Queens Road, Fakenham NR21 8AA. The building was completed by 1939 and was used by the Air Training Corps before the exchange came into service in May 1944. It replaced a manual exchange in a house in Bridge Street, first opened in 1914.

Great Ryburgh ATE
Great Ryburgh telephone exchange is located in Station Road, Great Ryburgh, Fakenham NR21 0AE and also covers Little Ryburgh, Stibbard and Sennowe Park. It came into service as a UAX12 in 1936, replacing a manual exchange opened in 1914.
The telephone code for this exchange are principally 01328-828 and 01328-829.

Litcham former ATE
The former Litcham telephone exchange stood in Druids Lane, Litcham, King’s Lynn, PE32 2NS and also covered Beeston, Mileham, East Lexham and Great Dunham. It came into service in late 1937 as a UAX12 to replace a manual exchange opened in the post office in August 1911. It closed in November 1984 when its lines were transferred to the new Tittleshall exchange as Fakenham 701*** numbers. It has since been demolished. Its dialling code was 032 876.

South Creake ATE
South Creake telephone exchange is located in Church Street, North Creake, Fakenham NR21 9JQÂ and covers South Creake, North Creake, Waterden and Cranmer. Coming into service in 1935 to replace a manual exchange opened in South Creake Post Office in 1922, it remained as a (two-digit) RAX5 until 1965.
The principal telephone code for this exchange is 01328-823.

Thursford ATE
Thursford telephone exchange is located in Fakenham Road, Thursford, Fakenham NR21 0BD and also covers Bale, Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Fulmodeston, Barney and Hindringham. It came into service as an RAX 5 in December 1932, the area having previously been covered in part by Great Ryburgh 14, a rural party line.

Tittleshall ATE
Tittleshall telephone exchange is located in Fakenham Road, Tittleshall, King’s Lynn PE32 2PH and serves the area previously covered by the former Tittleshall and Litcham exchanges. It came into service in November 1984. The lines from the two former exchanges became Fakenham 700*** and 701*** numbers.
The telephone code for this exchange is principally 01328-70.

Tittleshall former ATE
The former Tittleshall telephone exchange stood in Mill Lane, Whissonsett, NR20 5SR and covered Tittleshall, Whissonsett, Horningtoft, Oxwick and Godwick. It came into service in 1934 to replace a magneto telephone exchange opened in 1911. It remained a (two-digit) RAX5 until 1965. It was replaced by the current Tittleshall exchange in 1984. It has since been demolished. A house called Sodom Hall is being built on the site. Its dialling code was 032 870.

Walsingham ATE
Walsingham telephone exchange stands in Cokers Hill, Walsingham, Norfolk NR22 6BN and covers Little and Great Walsingham, Great Snoring, East Barsham, North Barsham, Egmere, Wighton and Houghton St Giles. Built in 1936 behind a flint wall with a rustic door, it came into service as a UAX12 in late 1938, replacing a manual exchange opened in December 1914.

Weasenham St Peter ATE
Weasenham St Peter telephone exchange is located in Fakenham Road, Weasenham, King’s Lynn PE32 2TF and also covers Rougham, Wellingham and West Raynham. It opened in July 1936 as a UAX 12, replacing two manual exchanges – Weasenham St Peter and Rougham (both opened in August 1911 as magneto exchanges).

Wells ATE
Wells telephone exchange is located in Bolts Close, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk NR23 1JP and also covers Holkham and Warham. Built in 1947, it replaced a manual exchange first opened in the post office in 1914. When a new exchange to the rear of the building came into service in 1978, the lines were changed to Fakenham 71**** numbers.
