The former Abernyte telephone exchange (seen on the left) is off the B953 in Abernyte, Perth PH14 9ST.

It came into service in the summer of 1938 as a UAX12 to replace a manual exchange opened in December 1926.

It closed in the mid-1970s, most lines being taken over by Inchture.

Its dialling code was 082 887.

Lundie former ATE

Lundie former ATE

The former Lundie telephone exchange lies about 800m east of the village of Lundie, Dundee DD2 5NT.

It came into service in 1938 as a UAX12 to replace a manual switchboard opened in Lundie post office on 18 December 1925. By 1947 it had 23 lines. It closed in the early 1980s when lines were taken over by Muirhead exchange as Muirhead 581*** numbers. It is understood to have been sold in 1989.

Its dialling code was 082 86.
