The former Craigton Telephone Exchange is located on the same site as the current exchange in Craigton, Kirriemuir DD8 5NR and served Airlie, Craigton, Kirkton of Airlie, Lindertis the surrounding area.
In 1947 it was equipped with a UAX5 with 31 lines.
Glenisla ATE

Glenprosen former ATE

The former Glenprosen exchange stands just south of the village of Glenprosen, Kirriemuir DD8 4RS.
It came into service on 30 April 1953 to replace a manual exchange opened in April 1930 and operated throughout by postmaster George Howe and his wife.
It closed at 1pm on 23 October 1974 when all lines were transferred to Cortachy exchange as Cortachy 3** numbers. It is now disused.
Its dialling code was 057 57.

Kingoldrum former ATE

The former Kingoldrum exchange, just visible here behind the kiosk, is in Kingoldrum, Kirriemuir DD8 5HW.
It came into service in November 1949 as a UAX12 to replace a manual board in the post office operated by postmistress Miss M.A Downie.
It closed on 18 November 1986 when lines were transferred to Kirriemuir exchange as Kirriemuir 747** numbers. It now stands in the grounds of The Old Schoolhouse and plant growth has made it invisible from the road.
Its dialling code was 057 581.

The former Kirriemuir Manual Telephone Exchange is located in Reform Street, Kirriemuir DD8 4BS and served Kirriemuir and the surrounding area.
The building has since been converted to flats.
