Cove former telephone exchange stands in Cove Road, Cove, Aberdeen AB12 3NX.

The first ATE here came into service as a UAX12. This later exchange, dating from about 1969, closed in the early 80s when lines were taken by Kincorth and Portlethen exchanges. It is now used by Cove Thistle FC.

Its dialling code was 022 475.

The former Culter Telephone Exchange still stands in Station Brae, Culter, Aberdeen AB14 0PX and served Culter, Milltimber and the surrounding area.
It opened on 25 August 1948 and was equipped with a UAX14.

Cults former ATE

Cults former telephone exchange stands at 397 North Deeside Rd, Cults AB15 9SX.

Although the building was put up before World War II, the exchange didn’t come into service until 1.15pm on Saturday 8 October 1949 as part of the Aberdeen linked numbering scheme, lines initially being Aberdeen 47***.

After closure it was used as a nursery school.

Its dialling code was 0224.

It came into service at 1.15pm on Saturday 8 October 1949 as part of the Aberdeen linked numbering scheme, lines initially being Aberdeen 43*** and 44***. After closure the building was sold off and is now the Instant Neighbour Thrift Store.

Its dialling code was 0244.

  • Fintray Former ExchangeThe former Fintray ATE stood next to the playground on the B977 in Hatton of Fintray, Aberdeen AB21 0YG. A UAX12 came into service here on 23 December 1937 to replace a manual board opened on 20 April 1927. Its dialling code was 024 476. A garage now stands on the site.
