Ingrams Green former ATE
We do not know the location of the former Ingrams Green exchange or even if it still survives.
The exchange came into service on 1 September 1930 as an RAX5 and continued to operate till closure on 3 April 1968, the last of its type in the Portsmouth telephone area. Most lines were transferred to the newly-automated Midhurst exchange.
It was photographed on its last day of operation for the Post Office Electrical Engineers’ Journal.
