The thirteen BT Telephone Exchanges (and two former) in the Basingstoke (01256) telephone area
Basingstoke ATE

Chineham ATE

Dummer ATE

The first ATE here was an RAX5 opened on 13 May 1930 serving 24 lines. It was named North Waltham but was renamed Dummer around 1936 (possibly to avoid confusion with the larger North Walsham in Norfolk). A later exchange building from the mid-1950s which housed a UAX13 stands adjacent to the current exchange.
